Fuschia

The session is held every Monday night at Fuscha, 77 Rue Duluth Est. Session starts at 9-00pm.

A reincarnation of the session that used to be held on Monday nights at Café l'Utopik. Traditional format session hosted by flute player, Sean McCutcheon.

O'Regan's

The session is held every Wednesday night at O'Regan's Pub,1224 Rue Bishop, just south of Ste Catherines in Montreal. Typically starts at 8-00pm and goes on until 11-00pm or later.

This session is primarily for the player starting out and those who enjoy a more informal atmosphere. We welcome everyone, no matter what their level of expertise. While some of us have been playing for years, there are often people who have only been playing a few months. Don't worry about starting off a tune slowly or one that you might not be able to play all the way through. There is usually someone who will join in to help you out. Songs are also welcome.

The session began in early 2003 as a way for students from the Siamsa School of Irish Music to get together and practice. The original four musicians who began the session and kept things running almost entirely by themselves for the first six months are Yolanta Kruk (whistle, voice and eggs), Janet Laskey (fiddle), Winnie Grady (whistle and flute) and Rae Shepp (bodhran, whistle and concertina). Over the last five years we have grown to the point where some nights there maybe 15 - 20 musicians.

Everyone takes part in the session, from claiming the bar space and arranging the chairs at the start, to introducing new comers and leading tune sets. A large part of the driving philosophy of the O'Regan's session comes from Yolanta.

Vices et Versa

The session is held every Wednesday at Cafe Vices et Versa, 6631 Boul St-Laurent, north of the downtown area. Session runs from 9-00pm until 12-00am, but takes a break during the summer.

The ultimate Quebecois session hosted by Pascal Gemme of Genticorum. The music is fast and furious with world class musicians, if you know what you're doing this session is a blast. Feet certainly count as an instrument here with step dancers taking the center on occasion.

Hurley's

The session is held every Saturday at Hurley's Pub, 1225 Rue Crescent. Session runs from 3-00pm until 6-00pm.

A long standing Montreal session in a pub with a reputation for Irish music and story telling. Hosted by Banjo Bob and Belfast Andi three weeks out of every four. Hosted by Paul Legrand every third Saturday of the month.
