Welcome to the Traditional Music and Dance Wiki
This is currently an experimental resource for traditional music and dance. All the content here is editable by anyone and as such should reflect the community as a whole custom essays(approve sites).
It's easy to change the content of individual pages. Before you can edit you will need to register. The place to practice editing is the Wiki Sandbox where any changes you make should not affect the site as a whole. Don't be shy, have a go and see how easy it is.
As the content becomes established it is important early on to develop a philosophy to help guide contributors. Please take a look at the current ideas and if you would like to add something feel free to do so. Any suggestions you can give will help to provide a personality for the site. There is also a place for discussion of what should go into each of the main sections of the site which can be found in each of these sections.
It is now possible to create an account that will let you edit the site. You will need to click on the login link at the top of the side-bar to the left and fill out the registration form. You must be logged in to edit the site.
You can now click on the Members link in the side-bar to the left to see a listing of users who have registered to edit the site.
New Feature
It is now possible to edit your own Profile page to customize it. You can include lists of your favourite tunes, links for specific pages or provide information about yourself. As always please do not abuse this feature, and be careful not to change the embedded account information on the page otherwise you may not be able to log in again. If this happens, you will need to send an email so that things can be sorted out.
Bug Fix
The script that reads abc notation and turns it into graphics has been fixed so that if several tunes are contained within one (:music:) (:musicend:) tag pair then all tunes are processed, not just the first one.
The top margin on the pdf file has also been increased so the layout looks more appealing
