Stone Monkey are Nottingham based and perform the Rapper Sword dance with enough vim to wash a floor. The Rapper dance originates from the North East pit villages, but the team invented many of the figures you’ll see. They also perform the Yorkshire tradition of Longsword Dancing, using swords designed in a Transylvanian Tractor Factory (it’s a long story).

Team members are easily identifiable in their maroon sashes and black and white bar-code socks, which read as ‘out-of-date-yoghurt’.
